House Post: Office Curtains

I'm seriously torn on these, in two ways. They looked so perfect in the store, but I am not in love with them in place. I think I want more beige or gray tones than cream.

I also can't decide whether to leave them floor-length or hem them.

thoughts?

  1. Floor length give the illusion of a larger window. I do like the textured decoration of the curtains. If you hate them you could try dying them......if they turn out perfect, if not you're only out the money for the dye.

  3. I personally like the white. I have the same style trim in a home from a similar era, and the previous owner introduced so much beige, it felt dirty. The white brightens up an otherwise dark space.

I'd also leave them floor length, to give the illusion of a larger window.

  4. I like the stark contrast of the white, against the dark walls! I have all my curtains hemmed for easier cleaning, except in our formal dining room.

  5. I like the color contrast with white and if you wait a couple of years they will probably mellow to note white. I love the look of a longer, dragging-on the ground curtain, but with my two big dogs, I feel like it's easier to vacuum, keep them off them by having them hemmed.
