Antique Sleigh Rally at Old Sturbridge Village

Old Sturbridge Village in Sturbridge, Massachusetts, is near and dear to my heart for many reasons. I did my graduate internship there, and got to ride Tristan through the village one day before it opened.

They also do some really cool programs. Their upcoming Antique Sleigh Rally looks to be even more exciting than GMHA's Sleigh Rally. If you're anywhere nearby, I can't recommend the experience enough!

  1. This just made me seriously homesick - I can't tell you how many school field trips were spent at Old Sturbridge Village. Never mind all the times we went as a family...

    1. It is SUCH a special place. I loved doing my internship there and getting to know every inch of it. Riding Tristan along the roads was so much fun.

If you haven't been in a few years, it's been seriously updated and in a good way. They're also doing loads of terrific events like the sleigh rally. Definitely worth going back.

    1. Ohhhhh the ones with the jimmies all around are my favorite. Interns got free coffee/tea, so I basically spent my time there over-caffeinated and over-sugared! If you are anywhere nearby, they do the trail rides through the village on a semi-regular basis; they are fundraisers for the local library. It was SO cool to do. I'll have to dig up the photos I took through Tristan's ears.
