I just got done checking out your site and liked it. My name is Vince Stead and I just got done looking at your site and really liked it. We make horse books in Paperback, Digital and Audio too. You can see them at fun2readbooks.com, or even my own name site, and the horse audio books are very fun to listen to. Thank you very much and I really enjoyed visiting your site!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13889908734171341284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8751398798342994168.post-86318624048402147482014-08-07T13:53:27.162-04:002014-08-07T13:53:27.162-04:00I agree that loose salt is the best way. I'd be careful of any red mineral block, be it Himalayan, Redmond Rock, or just the regular mineral blocks: the red color comes from iron, which horses already get too much of in their diet. Iron overload is very common in horses and has been shown to be linked to metabolic issues long term.Nicole Ahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09817619834026667737noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8751398798342994168.post-31709087190452773002014-08-07T11:31:21.325-04:002014-08-07T11:31:21.325-04:00Glad you enjoyed! It's one of the main things that pushed me to do the research. Then I broke down how much salt Tristan was actually getting based on his rate of consumption of his salt block, and it turns out he's getting enough! More here: http://beljoeor.blogspot.com/2014/08/how-should-i-feed-my-horse-salt-part-2.html

Some horses definitely won't get enough salt from salt blocks, and they probably should be supplemented with loose salt, but for Tristan, the block works great.Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16071037752920853786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8751398798342994168.post-34011033061946278382014-08-07T09:20:30.945-04:002014-08-07T09:20:30.945-04:00Wow.
